How to Use BabyName World
Everything you need to know to get the most out of the site
Getting Around
- 🖱️Click the baby logo or the site name at any time to return to the home page — from any page on the site.
- 🌐Use the language selector in the top-right corner to switch between 7 languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Chinese.
- 🌙Toggle dark/light mode using the sun/moon icon next to the language selector.
Why Create an Account?
- 1Save your favorites — heart any name to add it to your personal list. Access it anytime from your profile.
- 2Join the community — comment on names, post on the feed, follow other parents, and send direct messages.
- 3Link with your partner — unlock shared favorites, couple profile, and the gender reveal card.
- 4Get notifications — stay updated when someone likes your post, follows you, or sends a couple request.
💡 Registration is completely free — no ads, no paywalls, no hidden fees.
Linking with Your Partner
- 1Both you and your partner need to create separate accounts on BabyName World.
- 2Go to your Profile page and find the "Link with Partner" section — search for your partner's username and send a request.
- 3Your partner accepts the request from their notifications or profile page.
- 4You now have a shared Couple Profile showing your combined activity, shared favorites, and posts.
💡 Only one active couple link per account is allowed at a time.
Name Matching with Your Partner
- 1Browse names and ❤️ heart the ones you like — do this independently without telling your partner.
- 2Your partner does the same on their account — saves names they love.
- 3Open your Couple Profile — names that both of you favorited appear automatically in the "Shared Favorites" section.
- 4These are your matched names — the names you both love! Start from there to make your final decision.
💡 The more names you each save, the better your chances of finding a match you both love.
The Name Swipe Game
- 1Open Name Match Game from your user menu — most fun after linking with your partner.
- 2Names appear like cards — swipe ❤️ right if you love it, ✖ left to pass.
- 3When you and your partner both swipe ❤️ on the same name — it is a Match! 🎉
💡 Why it helps: choosing a name becomes a game, not a debate — only names you BOTH love count.
Gender Reveal Card
- 1Go to your Profile and open the "Create Reveal" section (only available to linked couples).
- 2Enter the baby's gender, the chosen name, and a personal message for your guests.
- 3You get a private link — share it via WhatsApp, family group chat, or however you like.
- 4Guests open the link and experience an animated reveal — confetti, the baby's name, and your personal message.
💡 You can schedule the reveal for a specific date and time — guests will see a countdown until then.
Community & Messages
- 🗣️Community Feed — share thoughts, tips, and announcements with all BabyName World users.
- 💬Direct Messages — click the 💬 icon in the top bar to chat privately with any user.
- 👥Follow users — visit any profile and hit "Follow" to see their activity in your feed.
- 🔔Notifications — the bell icon shows you likes, comments, follows, and couple requests in real time.
Zodiac Names
- 1Go to Zodiac from the top navigation bar.
- 2Enter your baby's date of birth (or expected date) to find their zodiac sign automatically.
- 3Browse names that match the personality traits and energy of that zodiac sign.
Compare Two Names
- 1Open ⚖️ Compare from the top bar and pick any two names.
- 2See them side by side: meaning, origin, region, popularity and community votes.
- 3One tap opens the full page of the name you prefer.
💡 Why it helps: the perfect referee when the family is torn between two favorites.
Family Name Chemistry
- 1On the home page, open the Name Chemistry tool.
- 2Enter the family name or the siblings names next to the name you are considering.
- 3Get an instant harmony score for sound and style.

Smart Name Finder
- 1Open 🔮 Smart Name Finder from your user menu.
- 2Answer quick questions: boy or girl, origin, length, favorite first letter.
- 3Get a personal shortlist instantly — and ❤️ your favorites right there.

Share Names Beautifully
- 1On any name page, tap 🎴 Card to download a beautifully designed name card.
- 2Or tap Share to send the name with its meaning in one tap.
- 3Tap 🔊 to hear the name pronounced out loud.
